Anabelle Kay is a young folk artist who grew up in country NSW in a little town called Wingham, eventually migrating south to the Central Coast NSW. 'I Think I'm Lost, My Love’ is a collection of songs written while Anabelle was living and working in a remote area of East Arnhem Land, NT.
This young artist Is known for her sporadic long stays in the middle of isolated corners of the world where she seeks solitude and inspiration. Those places and those experiences inspire new records.
This latest EP, her third, reveals a darker, grittier side to Anabelle’s songwriting and performance. The depth and luminous quality of Kay’s extraordinary and powerful voice are more evident than ever before.
Featured on Triple J, FBi, 2SER, Double J, ABC 702, PBS her second release 'Waste I Won’t' was named CD of the Week by Sydney Morning Herald chief music writer Bernard Zuel.
Performing live, her ability to capture an audience is even more impressive: "I don't think anyone even breathed during her entire set" – The Brag
Anabelle has toured the nation as a support artist for overseas acts and is exclusively represented by Harbour Agency in Australia.
A supremely talented singer / songwriter often compared to Joan Baez, Joplin and Joni Mitchell…..not out of time but totally in it. A talent and a voice: one for the ages.
