PRESS RELEASE:
JOHNNY ROCK AND THE LIMITS – HIGHLY LIKELY TOUR
Johnny Rock and The Limits release their much anticipated EP, ‘Highly Likely’ this September. Following their single, ‘Give You What You Need,’ being featured in the summer Cornetto TV ad campaign early in the year, and touring their hit single ‘Shoeshine’ in June the band bring their fans what they’ve been waiting for.
Produced by ARIA nominated, Steven Schram (Ground Components, Little Red), the raw energy of Johnny Rock and The Limits live shows has been captured and distilled into a 4 track set of all killer no filler EP. Bursting out of your stereo like a freight train with it’s non-stop, energy-driven pop, ‘Highly likely’ is rough around the edges, yet powerful in its conviction.
Will it be the soundtrack to your summer? Maybe.
Will this be your new favourite CD? Maybe.
Will you turn it up to 11 while tearing down the motorway? Highly likely.
Look out for Johnny Rock & the Limits bringing their explosive live show to Sydney, Melbourne and Wollongong from September.
BIOGRAPHY:
Who are Johnny Rock and The Limits? Well, they rock out and make you want to dance like a 4 year old to “The Funky Chicken” and your little sister’s already got their poster on her wall.
They began as Johnnys crazy idea to start a band from scratch and headline the Espy front bar and be "the biggest band in Melbourne" within 6 months. Thankfully, Johnny doesn’t know when to quit and the band continued their rampage on Melbourne’s music scene releasing their debut album aptly named, albeit delusional, "Finally Famous" to a full house at the Hi Fi bar. They've also packed out a laneway headlining the AIR new music stage at St Kilda festival, and not to mention filled out rooms across Melbourne. Known for their high energy shows they frequently bring gospel singers, and horn players on stage with them extending their already large 5 piece rock set up. If that wasn’t enough they also put on grand themed gigs that you can't miss! Like their 3D gig, where they gave away 3D glasses and projected 3D horror movies on the wall. Or their 80s prom gig where the room was decked out in pink streamers and balloons and everyone dressed up in suits and puffy sleeved dresses.
Despite the name the band seem to have no limits to how far they can go and have been taking their show interstate this year after appearing on the Cornetto Summer TV ad campaign. After releasing two singles, they are about to release their much anticipated EP ‘Highly Likely’- with another tour to follow.
